How to Book and our Terms and Conditions
General Information
Camp Site is open from Easter through to the end of October each year. However, you may book with us for the winter months/early Spring but this would depend if the ground was dry enough.
To book a pitch by telephone and to check Availability please ring Mervyn on07886 089942 .
You may also Contact Us via this website to check Availability and to book a pitch.
Conveniently situated on the camping area are: waste disposal point, chemical toilet disposal point, fresh water, rubbish bins.
Children are very welcome and there is plenty of space for them to run around and enjoy some freedom in a safe environment, providing that they are supervised.
Dogs are welcome, we have a limit of 2 dogs per caravan or motorhome. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times as our camp site is surrounded by fields which contain sheep and cows.
We do take great care and pride in the land where the camping pitches are situated and we would ask all Campers to respect the land and try not to churn up the grass too much.
It is the Owner's responsibility to keep their dog under control at all times.
How to check if we have a Pitch
It is important that you do check pitch availability in advance of your intended stay by telephoning Mervyn on 07886 089942 or through our website by using the Contact Us page. We do only have 5 pitches and we prefer not to go over this number.
Pitch Rate
One price for all year around = £10.00 per pitch per night for either a caravan or a motorhome, including an awning.
Electric hook up = £1.00 per pitch per night
If you have booked by telephone payment for the pitch for the number of nights required is in £Sterling on arrival. We do not accept cheques and do not have a card processing machine here.
Paying by Debit/Credit Card - this facility is only available when you book in advance through our website. Payment is processed by either PayPal or Google Checkout.
Please note that at certain times of the year Deposits are taken in advance, eg. for Bank Holidays and for peak times. We'll let you know if a deposit is required and how much when you contact us either by phone or email. For further information regarding Deposits please see below.
Deposit explained:
There are occasions when we do take a £20 non-refundable Deposit in advance of your intended stay. The £20 will be deducted from the total amount of your Pitch Fees when full payment is due. Here are the occasions that we take a Deposit:
All Bank Holidays - there is a minimum stay of 4 days, which would usually commence from the Friday.
Should there still be unbooked pitches by the Wednesday before a Bank Holiday, we would consider bookings for shorter periods than the stipulated minimum 4 days and the Enquirer would need to telephone Mervyn Scott direct.
The months of July and August
More than one Pitch being booked, i.e. a Group Booking
Bookings that are made more than 1 month in advance of the intended stay
Bookings of 7 days or longer
Arrival and Departure Times
Arrival Time to be after 12 noon
Departure Time to be before 12 noon
During quiet periods, we can be more flexible on arrival and departure times. However, we cannot predict when people are going to book, so please ask on the day if it is OK for you to arrive earlier or leave later.
Caravan Site Facilities and Maintenance
water point and a waste disposal point
5 x individual 16 AMP electric points = 1 per pitch.
The grass is cut at regular intervals and should you be staying for longer than 7 days we might ask you to move on to another pitch when needed. This is necessary to provide regular light, rain and sunshine to the grass for it to remain green and in good condition. It is also necessary for us to be able to mow the grass!
ANY OTHER MAINTENANCE? - if you should spot anything that requires attention during your stay please bring this to the attention of Mervyn Scott, the Owner.
